Description: Rotala Green is an excellent plant for beginner aquarists. It has a simple but beautiful bright green colour that works well in creating contrast against driftwood and rocks. When grown under high light with Co2 injection, it tends to have horizontal growth. However, the plant is commonly used in the background as it will gain height as it gets bushier.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Rotala Green will grow without co2 injection but medium lighting is recommended. Without Co2, growth will be vertical and leggier.
