Description: Also known as Mini Xmas Moss, this moss is characterised by its name. When grown on a cone-like structure, its fronds will be directed at the substrate, resulting in what quite literally looks like a Christmas tree. Due to its horizontal growth, it can be utilised in a number of different ways including as a carpeting plant for low-tech aquariums.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Mini Christmas Moss will grow in a low-tech aquarium but at a slow rate and with the occasional brown patch. The addition of Co2 certainly results in more vibrant and robust growth.
Emersed Growth: Mini Christmas Moss can be grown emersed. it will require some sort of medium to bind to such as lava rock, an aquarium substrate or peat moss.
