Description: Perfect for smaller aquariums, Mayaca Fluviatalis has a very delicate. petite leaf structure. It is not too difficult to grow but is known to develop pale growth where there is a lack of iron and tends to struggle in very hard water.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Mayaca fluviatilis will grow without co2 injection and under moderate lighting but will not reach its best form.
Emersed Growth: Mayaca Fluviatilis can be grown emersed but due to its delicate and flexible stems it can have difficulty standing up on its own. Hence an environment with a slightly lower humidity is typically preferred. This allows the stems to grow slightly thicker and sturdier.
