Description: A gorgeous red stem plant that is easy to grow, Ludwigia Palustris is suited to a wide range of aquaria. It grows at a moderate to fast pace and can grow up to 30cm tall. In addition to this, multiple side shoots can sprout on each stem, which allows it to quickly adopt a bushy appearance.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Ludwigia Palustris is an undemanding aquarium plant, that should not have any problems adapting to a low-tech aquarium.
Emersed Growth: The emersed growth of Ludwigia Palustris is quite interesting in that it will grow horizontal unlike its submersed form. Its leaves adopt a similar dark red colour but with a purple undertone. This plant is not difficult to grow out of water and will multiply quite quickly once established.
