Description: One of a few easy-to-grow plants that are not green in colouration. Ludwigia Ovalis is generally best suited to the frontal region of the aquaria due to its height. Its colours range from yellow to red, with darker colours becoming more prominent in tanks with high light and Co2 injection. This plant is deemed to be fast-growing.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Ludwigia Ovalis should still grow in low-tech tanks, however, its colouration will not be as deep as possible.
Emersed Growth: The emersed growth of Ludwigia Ovalis comes quite easily. The levels are more compact, darker and more circular. Transitioning between the two states is also relatively easy and can be done without Co2. Ludwigia Ovalis grows very fast in its emersed state.
