Description: A beautiful tall stem plant with golden-red leaves, Ludwigia inclinata is best suited to the advanced hobbyist. It requires high lighting and Co2 injection but the results are worth it. When in optimal conditions it will grow with astonishing red colouration which contrasts beautifully against most aquarium plants. Its leaves are rounded and carry faint white veins which are not a sign of nutrient deficiency. In addition to this, it is very fast growing and will readily sprout multiple side shoots along the main stem.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Ludwigia inclinata is no exception to this rule and will struggle without strong lighting and co2 injection.
Emersed Growth: Ludwigia Inclinata has to be the fasted growing emersed stem we have come across. It transitions between states very quickly and multiplies extremely fast when grown out of water. The two growth variants look quite similar.
