Description: Characterised by its delicate needle-like leaves, Ludwigia Arcuata is an excellent addition to any aquarium as it offers an unusual form that is not normally seen in the aquarium. Additionally, it can be easily grown without the addition of Co2.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Nonetheless, this plant can be grown without in low-tech conditions, but different colouration will result. Higher light, Co2 injection and high iron levels will turn this plant red whereas contrary conditions will result in steady greens.
Emersed Growth: Ludwigia Arcuata can be grown out of water. The second picture shows the form that it takes on when in such conditions. From our experience, we have found that Ludwigia Arcuata grows faster in an emersed state and is quite easy to convert. The stems are thicker, the leaves shorter and greener.
