Description: A relatively undemanding stem plant with incredibly compact growth. Generally, the leaves will adopt green colouration but in optimal conditions, purple hues begin to show. Hygrophila Kompakt does not grow as tall as other stem plants, which makes it well suited to the midground in most tanks.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. Nonetheless, Hygrophila ‘Kompakt’ is adaptable to a wide variety of conditions and will grow well without the addition of Co2.
Emersed Growth: The emersed growth of Hygrophila Corymbosa is significantly smaller than its submersed variant. Nonetheless, it still converts quite easily which is likely due to the undemanding nature of the plant. It grows quickly in both states, but from our experience, it will grow slightly faster underwater.
