Description: The Australian Amano shrimp or Caridina Typus is probably the best algae eating shrimp available in Australia. It is very similar to the common Amano shrimp, which is often used by aquascapers outside of Australia as a cleanup crew essential. This species of shrimp is very peaceful, easy to look and is quite large! At full size, they can reach up to 7cm. Nonethless, they are amazing creatures to watch and will make light work of your algae woes.
Buyer beware! These guys are very prone to crawling out of a new aquarium within the first 24hrs so please ensure you have a lid or ower your water level when introducing them.
